Installation
You’ll need Android 8.0 or later and the APK that matches your device’s Android architecture.

Get the app
Download the ARM64 APK for most modern devices, or ARM32 for a device running 32-bit Android. The Download page includes file checksums.

Install & open
Open the APK. If Android asks, allow installation for the browser or file manager you are using. Launch Open Meets and choose English or 简体中文.

Bring your little world
Follow the import prompt to select your own supported firmware file or an unencrypted ZIP. Pick an imported version to begin.
Bring your own firmware.
Choose a firmware file or ZIP using the system file picker. Supported files are checked by their contents and kept in the app’s firmware library. You can import more versions later from Settings → Switch ROM.
The website and app packages do not include ROM / BIN files. Use firmware you already have.
Supported families
Tamagotchi SOME is not currently supported. The app’s language setting changes menus and help; game text follows the imported firmware.
Everyday controls
Hold buttons when needed, or press A + C together. Press any button to wake the game display.
A smaller screen, the same little world.
Select Settings → Appearance → Small screen. Pinch the preview and save its size the first time. Tap the left third for A, the middle for B and the lower two thirds of the right side for C. Hold the upper-right area for about one second to return to Minimal.
Connect with Mixing Meets.
The Android app includes Mixing Meets. In the game, choose App → Visit to bring your character into the client, then follow its connection prompts. Use Return to bring your character back. App → Present opens gift reception. Online features use the Mixing Meets community service.
Give the screen a little texture.
Open Settings → LCD pixel grid to switch on the dot grid. The setting is remembered and adapts to the display size. Screenshots exported from Open Meets preserve the effect when it is enabled.
Care & saves
Save a moment
Progress is saved automatically. Use Settings to save immediately or export a .t18s backup. Import a backup with the same firmware version. Each firmware keeps its own progress.
Keep growing
Normal mode synchronizes offline care when you return. Enhanced mode keeps care running in the background when the system allows it. Enable notifications and Alarms & reminders for care calls.
Take a little break
Pause stops growth and reminders, stays paused when you reopen the app, and excludes that time when you resume.
Move to the stable app
Alpha uses separate app data. Export a .t18s save from alpha, then import it under matching firmware in the stable app.
Tama Shelf
Get the optional TamaShelf resource pack from the Download page. In Settings → Tama Shelf, enable the feature, choose “Load / replace material ZIP” and select the downloaded ZIP without extracting it. You can also load it during first-time setup. Browse gifts, adjust the balance, compose a spouse or import custom artwork. Use the Send button to apply your selection.
Get the TamaShelf resource packAfter using a Magic Hut hourglass, return to the game home screen and let evolution finish. The pet must reach adulthood before receiving a spouse.
Frequently asked questions
Will updating keep my pet?
Yes. Install 1.0.1 over the stable 1.0.0 or 0.3.0 app with its existing data. Export a backup first. Uninstalling removes local firmware and saves.
Why does Android show version 1.4.3?
The Open Meets release is 1.0.1, build 10018. Android retains the 1.4.3 compatibility label required by the embedded Mixing Meets login protocol.
What if the system file picker is unavailable?
Use the built-in file picker from the import screen or ROMs list. It shows available locations and any storage permission needed for that location.
How do I take a screenshot?
Enable Screenshots in Settings. Tap the bow in Device, the shutter in Minimal, or double-tap the upper middle area in Small screen. Images are saved to Pictures/Open Meets.
Can I connect to my physical toy?
Infrared and direct toy links are not supported. WebMeets gift reception uses BLE on compatible devices. Mixing Meets opens from App → Visit / Present and depends on its community service.
Why did a care reminder arrive late?
Android notification, alarm and background settings affect reminders. Allow notifications and Alarms & reminders. Force stop blocks reminders until you reopen the app. Huawei HarmonyOS users should use normal mode.
